Galatians 4:7
Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
In this chapter, Paul is explaining the difference between living under the law and living under grace through Christ. Before Christ, people were under the law, which revealed sin but could not free them from its power. Through Christ, we are assured that God’s forgiveness, the inheritance of His kingdom, and all spiritual blessings are certain and guaranteed by God’s grace, not by our own efforts.
An orphan spirit leaves us grieving, insecure, and trapped in an identity crisis—lonely and isolated. But God calls us His children and heirs, so we don’t have to live like orphans. Our adoption is not just a legal status but a personal relationship with God as Father. An indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, which leads us to cry out to Him, “Abba, Father!”
So, let’s approach the Lord boldly, step into His freedom, and experience the inheritance He offers us here and now. And let us live as His heirs, reflecting His kingdom values and principles in our everyday lives.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me Your child and making me an heir of Your kingdom. Help me let go of fear, insecurity, and loneliness. Teach me to walk in the freedom and grace You have given and fully embrace the inheritance You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
