Psalm 37:34
Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
Waiting is rarely easy. In a world that moves fast and demands instant results, waiting can feel like weakness or failure. But in God’s kingdom, waiting is an act of trust. It’s a declaration that His timing is better than ours, and His ways are higher.
This verse doesn’t merely urge us to wait; it calls us to wait and walk. To “keep His way” means remaining faithful, obedient, and rooted in His truth, even when the road ahead is uncertain. It’s not passive waiting; it’s active trust.
God promises that those who wait and walk with Him will be lifted up to inherit all that He has prepared. Though injustice may seem to prevail for a time, God assures us that the wicked will be cut off, and we will witness His justice.
So today, let’s choose one area of our lives where we’re tempted to rush ahead. Let’s pause, pray, and ask God for the grace to wait and walk faithfully. One day, we’ll testify to His unfailing faithfulness.
Prayer: Lord, teach us to wait on You with patience and unwavering faith. Help us walk in Your ways, even when the journey feels long and the answers seem delayed. We trust that in Your perfect timing, You will lift us up and fulfill every promise. Amen.
