Psalm 121:2

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

In this journey of life, we fight so many battles every day. We go through changing seasons and life events. In this uphill journey, many times we pause and ask, “Will God help me this time? Will help come on time? Am I worthy to receive God’s help?”

When such thoughts attack our faith, it’s easy to lose focus on the greatness of our God, the creator of the heavens and earth. He created everything by the power of His word. He said, and everything came into existence. What He intended, He spoke, and it was made visible.

The same God has given us His living word and promises to provide for us, protect us, and care for us. Today’s verse speaks of divine provision and help in our time of need by a Mighty God whose hand is mighty to save.

How can we receive this help? As believers, we have to intentionally lift our eyes to the Lord. When we are surrounded by hills and mountains, it’s easy to see how big they are, get intimidated, and lose focus on the greatness of our God. The word of God says, demons run and flee at the mention of His name (Luke 10:17), and hills melt like wax (Psalms 97:5). When we remember God’s truth, meditate on His word, and call upon the name of Jesus, we will receive help. It is His promise. God never fails at keeping His promises.

Today, if you are fighting an uphill battle, call on the name of Jesus. He is Jehovah Nissi – God our banner of victory. He neither sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4). In His name, the mountains in your life will melt like wax.
