Psalm 4:3 – “But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.”

But what is the qualification to be set apart? Godliness. When we think of godly people, we assume them to be only committed to God, absolutely holy and without any weakness. But the truth is, God has called each of us to be godly.
Of course, we’ll fail if we try to do it on our own. Our righteousness is like filthy rags in God’s sight. It’s the blood of Jesus that cleanses us, and the Holy Spirit who equips us to live a righteous life.
Godly living is not possible without the grace of God. We might fail daily, but God is gracious to forgive us and help us overcome our weaknesses. Remember that God has called you and set you apart for His purpose. As you rely on the Holy Spirit and call on Him, He hears you and equips you to live the abundant life.
