Isaiah 50:10 – “Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.”

Weddings are a remarkable celebration of true love. The bride and groom dress in their finest and take their vows, as friends and family cheer on. But saying “I do” and getting married is just the beginning; it’s staying married that counts. Years down the line, when faced with the ups and downs of life, they’ll need to keep reliving their vows and choose to say, “I still do”.

As believers, our relationship with God will face many challenges as life goes on. The initial rosy glow after our salvation may fade, but our faith must not. Each day, we must make the decision to remain rooted in God, even if circumstances try to shake us up.

When you obey the voice of God and follow in His footsteps, you will not be fumbling in the dark. God Himself will light up your path and show you the way we should go. If you’ve been tossed around by the storms of life and your faith seems shaky, it’s time to go back to the basics. Spend time in God’s presence, reaffirm your faith in Him and allow His perfect love to wash away all your doubts. Stay with God through the trials and you will receive your breakthrough.
