New creation

II Corinthians 5:17:  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This is the most common verse we say to those who are new believers in the Lord.  Old things need to be told good bye to and replaced with new things in our life.  All in all, we become a new creature.

Being in Christ means our life revolves around Him.  We live and breathe in Him.  Because we are in Christ, whenever God sees us, He never sees our weakness or imperfections.  He sees Jesus in us.  He sees our life washed in the blood of Jesus.   All kinds of addictions that we once held so dear will start to inch out of our life when we make a deliberate choice to put on Christ.  When the things of darkness see the light coming into our lives, they will make way for it.  Darkness and the deeds of darkness cannot comprehend the deeds of light.  Darkness has to flee when it sees light approaching.  God wants us as transformed human beings, living in the light of His word.

Are you willing to be transformed inside out? Are you willing to ask Christ in your life? On our strength, it is not possible to become a new creature or a new being.  Through the death of Christ for us on the cross and by accepting Him in our life, it is possible.  Your life will never be the same again once you are in Christ.
