Let God guide you

Isaiah 48:17:  Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

God instructs and guides us in the way that we should go.  His words, if obeyed, will do us more good than harm.  We will be blessed with the knowledge of having the basic etiquette of carrying on our life.  These etiquette are found in the word of God.  God wants us to have morals and discipline as deemed fit for a child of God.  So if we hearken to His instructions and be willing to be led by Him, we would gain more profit or in other words, we would be benefitted with good things in life.

God is like a shepherd, a good one.  A good shepherd always leads his flock.  He guides them through deep gorges and valleys.  He is always with his flock and ensures that they are safe from harm.  He leads the way for them.  God wants to guide our way.  There may come a situation in life when some feel that they don’t need God at all.  They hate being corrected or being given instructions to follow.  Well, such people are digging up their own pit.  It would be profitable to have God lead us and guide us with His hand.  He alone knows what kind of dangers are lurking ahead of us.  He will make us take a detour if need be and yet not miss the destination point.  Let God go before us like how He led the Israelites in the desert.

It is wise to hand over our life to God and ask Him to be our guide.  We will do ourselves good by reading His word and by listening to it.  Let God be God in your life and hand over your charge of yourself to Him by you occupying the passenger seat.  Let Him drive!
