Harvest Will Come

Genesis 8:22 – “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”

This covenant made by God soon after the great flood that Noah survived is still relevant in our day and age. God promised that the seasons He’s ordained will come to pass. Seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, will all happen – you cannot have one without the other.

This is a truth we subconsciously believe. We believe that the sun will rise every morning. We know that the monsoon follows our dry summer months. When we sow, we will reap a harvest. But we still get dejected when we put in all our efforts and don’t see any results.

Our job is to do the ground work – prepare the soil by doing what’s expected, sow the seeds of good work and nurture it in prayer. It’s God’s job to send the rain and guarantee us the harvest. If you’ve been diligent in doing what God has called you to do, and if you seek to follow God with all your heart, God will definitely bless you with a bountiful harvest. There’s no doubt about that! Don’t give up if you don’t see any results yet… God is doing a thousand things behind the scenes, and He will make it all work out for your good in the end.
