Psalm 5:11″—But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you.”

In these days of turmoil and horror stories in the world, how is it that we can stay calm and happy at the dawn of a new day in this same world? The main difference is rooted in who we depend on, who we count on, and on who we lean on.

Yes, the days may have troubles, our road was never promised to be smooth. Our life goes on with its ups and downs. But unlike people who depend on their godfathers for their careers, who count on their wealth or position in society, and who lean on their idols, vices, etc, during times of sadness or turmoils, we have a hope. We take refuge in Lord Jesus, the victor, the Saviour, our hope. How can we not be joyful everyday when we remember that God knew us before we were born? Weren’t we chosen among the world and called out? Don’t we have a promise, through Jesus, to be at the right hand of God in eternity? Don’t we know who protects us through it all? How can we then choose to stay sad, confused, scared, and so on? Doesn’t our hope rank above all these other issues in our transient world? We have a cause to sing! We have a cause to celebrate!

The Divine blessing comes down on us through Jesus Christ, the righteous or just One, as it did earlier on Israel through David, whom God protected, and placed upon the throne. Christ is the righteous Saviour, Christ is the King of Israel, Christ is the Fountain of blessing to all Believers; His favour is the defence and protection of us, the Church.

If you have not heard of this Saviour, if you have evaded being dependent on God through your faith in Him, come taste and see that the Lord is good. His promises endure forever. He shares our burdens and makes our yolks of troubles light. Come join or rejoin our celebration in Christ today!
