Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Often, we’re faced with circumstances so daunting that our first response is, “I can’t do it.” The job ahead seems to require too much and you feel unqualified. The mountain seems insurmountable, and the sea too stormy to cross. But let’s not forget we have a God who stills the waters. Our little faith in a big God is enough to turn a mountain into a molehill.

Paul faced insurmountable odds too. He was doubted by many, tortured for his faith and imprisoned severally times. And yet, he chose to rejoice in the midst of his difficulties. How did he do it? What was the secret strength he possessed that helped him smile in the face of suffering?

He could do it because of his unwavering faith. He firmly believed that God who loved him enough to die on his behalf would be with him till the end. Do you struggle to find joy in the midst of the mundane? Turn your eyes upon Jesus. He died for your sin, rose again and removed the sting from your suffering. You can choose to be joyful and rejoice through Christ. He Himself will strengthen you for what lies ahead. He will guide you and keep you in the shelter of His wings. Trust in His love for you.
